"Nate Lowe wants to marry girlfriend Tina Cain but she’s not sure she's cut out for wife material. Between fighting aliens and constantly fighting for their lives…marriage doesn’t seem like a good idea. Nate and Tina will go on a journey of personal discovery and alien adventure. This is a continuation of the Felig Chronicles. The writing was good quality and consistent throughout the entire book. With the action packed pages and tension between Nate and Tina, the story is quick flowing and interesting." --Beth Hardy, Night Owl Reviews .------------------------------------ If you missed my return appearance to the "Other Worlds of Romance" show, hosted by Linda Mooney on Blogtalk Radio on Monday January 6th, 2014. Love comes in many forms, ways and styles. Love is diverse, natural, universal and egalitarian. All recognize it and want it. That’s why I like and write romance books. The characters in romance novels never give up on finding love and once they find it, if the object of their affection does not look like what society deems appropriate, they firmly tell society to “mind your business!” and ask directly, ”Don’t you have something else to be concerned about?” That’s why I pen (IR) interracial romance, hence the name of my site—Diverse Views.
I don’t write the erotic short—that frenetic, 16-page, extended sex scene. Not a thing wrong with that if that’s what you’re in the mood for. Those brief stories have a place and a purpose and the writers penning them have a talent I don’t possess. Bless them. If you are looking for a longer read, that's still sexy but not gynecological, something in a little different vein, my series is it. I build characters, emotions and motives. I write the sensual. Oh and let’s not forget I mix in suspense and aliens. I leave the craft of constructing straight, nitty-gritty erotica to the pros.
My series takes place in a post-apocalyptic USA landscape. Yes, I said post-apocalyptic. Oh, yeah, I hear the deafening yawning. Sorry to bore you, but give it a chance. It's not your Mama's after-the-disaster-has-happened kind of apocalypse. It's completely different. There are no leather-vest-clad, monosyllabic, menacing men toting crossbows. There are no females running around in black, uncomfortable, skin-tight garments with the ever present metal-studded belt, high-heeled boots and daggers. Nope. No motorcycles either. Nope. You won't find a one. Nothing is shrouded in fog or blown apart. There are creepy aliens, butt-kicking scenarios, witty dialog and wittier characters. There are also genuine laughs and genuine terror. Oh, and it has a plot. Betcha thought it didn't. I know what you were thinking. You saw that it was IR and you thought, "Mostly sex, little to no story." Well, you're wrong. It has plot out the wazoo. Yep, it's a totally different type of Armageddon. Because it's my invention and my world. Enter it and be entertained.
The fantastic Extasy Books! I thank them for taking on my IR, paranormal series. Only a couple other small presses in the US considered it----but with major changes. Those houses asked for changes so major that my alien-fighting, IR duo of African-American Tina Cain and Caucasian Nate Lowe would not have been recognizable. Enter Extasy Books. The editor-in-chief and the publisher of this Canadian outfit snapped up THE FELIG CHRONICLES, Book One. They also published SOMETHING ELSE WICKED, The Felig Chronicles, Book Two in the series and now, UNION, The Felig Chronicles, Book Three is out! Thank you Jay Austin and Tina Haveman! UNION: The Felig Chronicles, Book Three continues Nate's and Tina's tempestuous adventures in life and love and their dangerous, unscripted dance with the not-to-be-quelled Felig.
After an absence I’m P. J. DEAN and I'm back!
